ENROLLMENT LIMITED due to COVID restrictions.   APPLY QUICKLY to avoid disappointment!

For the past twenty-six summers, Gotta Sing! Gotta Dance! has attracted hundreds of enthusiastic and talented participants – many of whom have gone on to successful careers in the performing arts – from throughout British Columbia and as far away as Whitehorse, Edmonton, Regina, Yorkton, Winnipeg, Ottawa, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, New York, California, Alabama, Colorado, Virginia, Texas, Austria, and Israel.

The director and creator of the program is PERRY EHRLICH, who received an Ovation Award and the Canadian Bar Association’s Community Service Award (acknowledging his tireless dedication to working with children and musical theatre). Perry, a composer, pianist, teacher, arranger, producer, adjudicator, writer, and talent coordinator, also directs ShowStoppers, the popular performance troupe. Check out www.theimpresario.ca.

This year, Perry has assembled an impressive Faculty of professional instructors (including directors, musicians, choreographers, and actors), each working in his or her respective field including musical directors WENDY BROSS STUART, CHRIS KING, and ARIELLE BALLANCE; director CHRIS McGREGOR; choreographers JASON FRANCO, MEGHAN ANDERSSEN, KERI MINTY; and others!

It is anticipated that all classes will be “in person” but, to comply with the ever-changing COVID-19 health and safety rules,  some classes via Zoom may be necessary.   We will be following all safety protocols including social distancing and the use of masks.   To the extent possible, many classes (singing) will be outdoors.

The years final production called “WHO’S ZOOMIN WHO?” will be professionally filmed in the Norman & Annette Rothstein Theatre and elsewhere and will feature an original script and broad repertoire of music from Broadway and movie musicals and the world of pop.

Auditions may be scheduled to assess talent and maturity.   Regrettably, not all applicants can be accepted, and final selections will be based on ability and commitment.   Full payment for the Camp is due immediately upon acceptance into the camp.

SCHOLARSHIPS are available through the generosity of the “Babe Oreck Memorial Fund”, “Phyliss & Irving Snider Foundation”, and others for those with financial need.
