The Jewish Community Centre’s top priority is the safety and well-being of our members, participants and staff. In all decisions, the JCC will follow the recommendations and guidelines from the BC Provincial Health Authorities and their Provincial Health Orders .

 


The following in-person classes have resumed

Face Mask Policy

Face masks are mandatory for everyone five years of age and older in all areas of the JCC. This includes areas which were previously exempt:

  • Fitness Centre, Group Classes and shared Personal Training Studios –  including while working out
  • Washrooms and Change Rooms
  • Pool Deck
  • Gymnasium

In Person Programs and Services

All adult, social gatherings and sports league programming are  suspended for the time being, to comply with the current PHO.

We have made adjustments to the Fitness Schedule. Please join our Virtual Classes.

Please note that individual reserved fitness training, lane swimming and member swim will continue as planned, unless we are advised otherwise.

Safeguards during the COVID period

We have implemented the following safeguards to protect visitors and staff during the COVID-19 period:

  • Installed physical Plexiglas barriers between our customers and our team members.
  • Installed floor decals to reinforce 2 meter social distancing.
  • Installed signs on front doors and windows to control the number of people in the building at any one time, and reinforced social distancing.
  • Enhanced cleaning measures in all areas.
  • Participant numbers are reduced and appointments are required for entry.
  • COVID Health Screening administered at the entrance.
  • Hand washing is required prior to entrance and additional hand sanitation stations have been placed throughout the building.
