Preemployment Program for At-Risk Youth

Ages 13-17 within an Inclusive Supportive Modality (PRISM)

The purpose of this program, rooted in a strengths-based approach, is to provide meaningful learning opportunities for youth interested in Jewish community service and Jewish communal life.

The program will include exposure to:

  • Adult education and lifelong learning
  • Arts, culture and entertainment
  • Business, management and administration
  • Community leadership (children and youth)
  • Communications
  • Community engagement
  • Customer service
  • Human services, social services and outreach
  • Library services
  • Recreation, fitness and wellness
  • Social enterprise

Through group work, workshops with seasoned community professionals and one-on-one consultations with a vocational counselor, PPRISM will introduce youth to the world of work.
