Teen Fitness Orientation – free for members

If you are new to the J or this is your first time using the Fitness Centre please follow the below steps to get started.

Step 1: Watch the Teen Orientation Video

Step 2: Read the Fitness Manual

Step 3: Achieve 80% or higher on one or more of the quizzes below

Step 4: Complete a parent consent form Click here
*required at the time of your in-person practical or you will not be able to have your session

Step 5: Email Jayson at personaltraining@jccgv.bc.ca to book your 30 min in-person practical orientation.

The orientation is your opportunity to show our fitness staff that you are comfortable with setting up the equipment and using it safely, and to ask questions regarding any other equipment you may want to learn how to use. Please keep in mind this is not a personal training session
Note: If you would like to stay for a workout you will need to Book a Fitness Centre Session for the same time  (bookings can only be booked 72 hours in advance).

Teens 13-15 years:

Who HAVE completed the full JCC Teen Orientation process
13  – can use the fitness centre if they have a parent present in the Fitness Centre with them
14+ can use the Fitness Centre solo with parental permission /signed waiver Click here

Teens 16-18 years:
