Ashly graduated with a bachelor degree in Kinesiology and Psychology from Simon Fraser University in 2016. Having worked as a General Operations Manager for a private boutique personal training studio in Vancouver, Ashly now serves as the Assistant Fitness Director for the JCC. She holds a personal training certificate from the National Association of Sports Medicine and has for over 10 years. Having had the opportunity to work in various parts of the industry her passion truly resides in working with youth, helping clients overcome barriers to both nutrition and fitness and working with clients to live a life without any pain or impediment. She holds certificates in nutrition coaching and older adults. No matter what your obstacles are she works to empower you to find your inner strength.

Alan started weight training at the YMCA to improve his performance and reduce injuries for baseball, ice hockey and football. He has always had a special interest in exercise science research which first started with the National Ski Team while at university. Alan has worked with athletes from the NHL, CFL, served as a Strength and Conditioning Coach with an MLB affiliate and was a swim coach and Delegation Head for the JCC Maccabi Games. Alan envisions his role to be that of a trainer, coach, mentor and educator. He is committed to supporting his clients on their journey to reaching their goals.

Anne originally worked in food security systems and taught English for 20 years before making the switch to health and fitness. She had always wanted to utilize her athletic dance background. In her youth she coached elementary school gymnastics, figure skating, and competed in rowing and track and field. Over the last 25 years she has had the opportunity to develop skills in physical theatre, Yoga and Capoeira. In 2015 she became a Registered Personal Trainer through BCRPA and since then has trained a wide spectrum of clients. She appreciates the skills she has gained to help others with a variety of movement disorders and has focused on acquiring specialties in Older Adult fitness, Osetofit, Dance for Parkinson’s, Happy Hearts, Hip and Knee post-rehab and Balance training.

Camila’s career began with completing a degree of Physical Education in Brazil, in 2010. She found herself gravitating towards Pilates as she developed an appreciation for proper postural alignment, flexibility and core strength. She spent a year specializing in Pilates and in 2016 found herself in NYC completing the Aerial Pilates certification. Now having worked in the industry for 10 years she prides herself on her ability to work with a wide variety of clients. She incorporates her Pilates training into her client’s routines and finds herself working with individuals who are looking for a diversified program. Camila is well versed in teaching a proper exercise form to achieve the best results while also focusing on injury prevention. Catherine worked as an aeronautical engineer for Transport Canada for 18 years before making a transition into the health and wellness industry. She became a Certified Personal Trainer. She launched her company GAIA Adventures, which empowered women to achieve healthy lives and encouraged them to do so through participation in outdoor recreation. Her program included hiking, cross country skiing, snow shoeing, kayaking and team building. She continued her education by completing a degree in Kinesiology and Gerontology. She truly believes the body is capable of experiencing the great outdoors in many facets and prides herself on ensuring her clients can live a fulfilled life without pain or discomfort. In addition, Catherine acts as an Exercise Therapist for ICBC and teaches Healthy Heart Cardiac Rehab classes for Vancouver General Hospital.

Originally from Afghanistan, Ella moved to Canada at a very young age. Ella speaks English, Farsi, Urdu and is learning Spanish. She trained as an amateur martial artist for over 8 years. Competing in Brazilian Jiu jitsu and Kickboxing led her to find her passion in becoming a Personal Trainer. She holds an ACE, BCRPA personal training certificate and is an ACE nutrition specialist.
Ella has an extensive background in fat loss, strength & conditioning, endurance, and agility training as she is a former marital artist. Throughout her life, Ella learned the importance of exercise, nutrition, balance and consistency when it comes to living a healthy lifestyle. She believes that health and fitness should be a lifelong goal and she is here to support and encourage you to make healthy lifestyle choices. As a Personal Trainer, her goal is to motivate her clients to embrace the habit of daily activity. Lorenzo originally started in the culinary industry and worked as a professional Chef for 16 years. Throughout his culinary career he recognized that people are driven towards learning about healthy eating but weren’t as driven towards physical activity. He was pulled towards wanting to become that person who helps motivate and encourage others to not only eat healthy but to live a full healthy lifestyle; including being physically active. Lorenzo has helped individuals between the ages of 13 to 96. He currently holds a functional movement systems level 2 certificate which enables him to identify pain or limitations. He prides himself in being able to help train and educate older adults on healthy functional movement and balance. If you want to improve your mobility, flexibility and balance, Lorenzo can assist you to achieve your goals.

In 2004, Meghan’s amateur boxing career culminated with a national Bronze medal. She retired shortly afterwards and became a coach at the Astoria Boxing Club. That was when she realized her true passion in helping people blossom into their best selves through movement, and she transitioned into personal training.
Now her competency ranges from heavy strength training (she is now a national-level powerlifter, i.e. squat, bench, and deadlift) to working with older adults who have osteoporosis. She became an Osteofit evaluator in August, 2020. Meghan has a keen eye for detail, and takes the time to ensure that your programming is right for you. Her patience, along with many years of experience, ensures that she works with you safely on proper movement foundations, with less pain in your body, and more strength. She is firmly convinced that for the most part, we shape our own destinies. No matter where your body is now, she can help you create a future to look forward to.

Since I retired from professional sports I continue to be active through various styles of training. Rocio was raised in Mexico City where she graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Journalism and Communication. She was a consistent gym goer all throughout her life until she became pregnant not once but twice with two beautiful children. She returned to the fitness industry with a new found motivation towards her own postnatal health. With hard work she lost 40lbs and became inspired to be the motivation for others to do the same. Rocio first started as an aerobics instructor but now works as both an instructor and a personal trainer. After 18 years in the industry she holds specialized certifications in older adults, yoga, indoor cycling and functional weight training.

I was born and raised in Thailand where I grew up playing all kinds of racquet sports. Strength training became a part of my life once I made the move to Vancouver in 2009. While in Thailand I became a certified rescue diver, so I spend most of my free time diving and saving lives in the sea. I like to stay active through: weight training, hiking, cycling and skiing.
