I deal with physical pain fairly well; it’s the missed opportunities that pain forces on you that are hardest to bear. Like the time I was unable to fly and so could not attend a major family reunion.
I have lived with chronic back pain for around 10 years. The medications, including opioids, didn’t seem to alleviate the problem. Eventually I ended up in emergency, no longer able to walk. Surgery gave me four blissful pain-free years, but it has since returned. I realized that I needed a new approach to deal with something that was clearly going to be a permanent fixture in my life.
When I saw Meghan’s Pain Reduction class at the J – I decided to give it a try.
It was a fantastic program. Meghan was careful to customize all the exercises specifically for my needs. I have integrated everything I have learned in this class into my daily routine. My pain levels are significantly reduced and I know if do Meghan’s exercises first thing – I am set for the day!
I have just returned from a wonderful holiday in South Africa, surrounded by friends and family.
