What makes Camp Shalom the best camp in the city?
Camp Shalom strives to bring a Jewish camp experience to all its campers. Our staff are professional, engaging, and provide a safe and fun environment. We offer are a wide variety of programs for children of all ages, including camp for preschoolers, sport camps, specialty camps, and camping trips for ages 5.5- 13. While not exclusively a Jewish camp, we pride ourselves in celebrating Jewish culture and traditions, and giving campers memories to last a lifetime.

Are there any camps available for children under 5?
Yes! There are several options: Simcha Aleph (ages 3.5-4.5), Simcha Bet (ages 4.5-5.5). For the more sporty camper we also offer Sportball and Mini-Soccer.

My preteen doesn't want to go to overnight camp. Do you have a suggestion?
If your son/daughter is looking for adventure, Halutzim is the place to be! Having their own mini school bus, allows this group to enjoy field trips every day! The second week of each session includes a 4-day, 3-night camping trip.

My teenager has no plans for the summer; can they volunteer or join in camp?
We have the perfect solution. For teens completing grade 8-10, we offer two separate programs which will give any teen the skills they will need in the future to be a strong, independent member of society. Teens completing grade 10 or 11 or have completed our CIT program, can apply to be a junior counselor at camp and work side by side with senior staff to help shape our campers summers.
