WELCOME Norman Greenberg, New York
Visiting Scholar, Introduction to Game Design Programming
July 27-31 camp session at the JCC

Norman Greenberg is  a 3rd year game design and programming student from the Rochester Institute of Technology in New York (RIT). He has worked as a programmer with a team of 11 students to produce and create their own game and is looking to form an indie development company, to release the game on Steam Greenlight. Norman has worked at other JCC camps and is looking forward to sharing his skills with our campers.

Robotics & Game Programming:
Minecraft & Carnegie Mellon’s Alice 3, Python or MIT’s Scratch.
Creative hands-on activities for passionate students who want an overview of computer languages for games. Use digital apps to capture designs and post them to the DIGIVATIONS™ ImagineSTEM™ blog. Computers provided for robotics and MinecraftEdu. Programming students bring their own laptops with Minecraft preloaded.

What's Up Doc Age 6-10
Join us in the lab and use stethoscopes, thermometers, reflex hammers and more. Check what gives our body shape as you examine x-rays to diagnose problems. Learn about the 5 senses as you make a model eye and ear drum. You'll be ready for your PhD in no time!

Travel back in time to the age of the DINOSAURS! Travel with us through the Cretaceous and Jurassic periods as we learn about the Earth and how it has changed. Become a paleontologist and a geologist - learn all about the earth's layers, fossils, and much more!

For animal lovers: explore the world of insects, arachnids, reptiles, mammals and much more. Scientists will join us as we travel through the rainforest, oceans, deserts, and the Arctic to explore some of the most exciting creatures on earth. We'll even bring in a few specimens, including a sea horse, starfish and cockroach.
