CAMP CANCELLATION POLICY
- Up until four (4) weeks prior to start of Camp – 10% per code, per child cancellation fee
- Four (4) weeks prior to start of Camp – $50 per code, per child (Not including full summer combo)
- Two (2) weeks prior to the start of Camp – no refund. Credit only ($50 Cancellation fee)

Fill your week with action, adventure and a lot of comedy with Film Camp in A Box Lego animation camp. Mentored by master filmmakers, campers will engage in hands-on exploration of the stop motion animation process, including pre production, production and post production. Working in small crews, they will learn about stop motion animation, set design, script writing and editing. Campers will then create their own stop motion animation and edit a short film and movie trailer. Movies will be presented at our red carpet, popcorn film festival and archived on our digital theatre.

Working in small crews, they will learn about cinematography, script writing and editing. Campers will then create, act in and edit a short film and movie trailer. Participants will have the opportunity to use our latest technology, including Mac books, 4K cameras, tripods, boom microphones, green screens and the use of an aerial drone. Movies will be presented at our red carpet, popcorn film festival and archived on our digital theatre.

Create a food experience that speaks to the senses! Learn how to design a restaurant that entertains and offers up a tasty local meal. In this class we will develop a playful restaurant concept, learn about responsible design, create a menu, draw a floorplan, and build a 3D model. All supplies will be provided and students will be able to take their models home. Please bring a nut free snack, lunch, water bottle and comfortable clothes that you don’t mind staining.

JCC Camp Shalom is looking for experienced, highly motivated and reliable individuals for full-time summer positions to join our team! Our program includes fieldtrips, engaging & thoughtful activities, guest specialists, sports, swimming and much more. Camp Shalom thrives in being a safe, engaging and memorable place for all of our campers!
Experience and Qualifications
- Valid Criminal Record Check upon employment
- Valid Child Care First Aid Certificate with CPR
- Minimum 18 years old for hourly paid position
- Minimum 16 years old for Volunteer position (with weekly honouraruim)
- Planning, organizational and communication skills within a team environment
- Able to multitask and manage time well
- Current favourable references
- Jewish background not required

Contract length: 2 months, June – August
