When a mysterious fever leaves Jennifer bedridden, and doctors tell her it’s “all in her head,” she picks up her camera and brings us into a hidden world of millions that medicine abandoned.

The film will be followed by a community conversation on acquired disability and illness led by activist, educator and blogger Mara Shnay who has lived with a chronic illness since she was 13. Mara focuses her energies on increasing awareness of the challenges of living with disabling illness and pain. She has taught mindfulness and meditation at St. Paul’s Hospital for people with disabling chronic conditions.
