NEW The Cathy Narod Water Safety Initiative

EVENTS AND EDUCATION FOR CHILDREN AND PARENTS ABOUT WATER SAFETY AND DROWNING PREVENTION

Why This Initiative by the Narod Family…

Cathy’s story

“Cathy was 2. She was beautiful. She was mischievous. And her favourite song was “Bah, Bah, Black Sheep.” Cathy’s death was entirely preventable. She had just learned to swim with a life jacket in our family swimming pool. Unnoticed, she got out of the house and through the open gate to the pool yard. No one was ever certain how. She put on a life jacket and jumped in the deep end. She slipped through the life jacket. She had not known how to buckle it. It changed our lives forever.”
