Transition Fair 2012

You are invited to Transition Fair 2012 showcasing programs, resources and supports to facilitate the transition of youth with special needs from high school toward post-secondary, volunteer, and employment opportunities.


Keynote speaker: Dr. Thomas Armstrong will be speaking on
Neurodiversity: Celebrating Abilities in a Culture of Disability

There will also be:

  • Three practical training workshops
    - Creating your own Personal Support Plan
    - Finding your funding
    - 14 steps to successful advocacy
     
  • A teen panel 
    hear young adults discuss their transition experiences
     
  • Exhibitors from a wide range of  programs and services

                 

       

                         

                                
 

                             


As part of February’s Jewish Disability Awareness month, we are committed to creating a day of inclusion, empowerment, solutions and support for families, caregivers and professionals in our community and the community at large.
