JAZZ & TAP 50/50 (ages 4-5)

Children will learn fun Jazz moves, creative dancing and some Tap basics. The class will be divided in two, half Jazz and half Tap. Because of the diversity and fun, very young children will be able to focus throughout the class. Students will perform in the NRT on June 10, 2012.

COMPANY ( ages 11-18) Jana Berengel
An auditioned class, the Company is a serious and committed group devoted to performance. Members must also take advanced Jazz and Ballet class in order to be accepted. Class will feature intensive workshops in different styles of performance jazz; from classic Broadway to street, lyrical, character and Fosse. Guest teachers will bring in various styles. Choreographies will be performed in showcases, competitions and the Year-End Shows on June 10, 2012.
MANDATORY CLASS: Ballet 3 or 4 and Jazz 3 or Jazz 4 or Jazz 5 Advanced.

CHOREOGRAPHY - BROADWAY STYLE (ages 11-16) Bobbie Wignall
For a mix of ages of the more advanced and committed students with Jazz experience, an exciting class focused on the theatrical aspects of dance. With focus on Broadway and character style, students will also explore other dance styles and storytelling through dance. They will perform in the NRT on June 10, 2012.
Pre-requisite: at least one other dance class that includes technical training, at the choice of the student : either Ballet 3/4 or Jazz 3/4.
