Shabbat Shalom

As a parent participation component, families are required to fulfill a Hishtatfoot (partnership) Day 7-8 classes per year. This is a licensing requirement. Maximum enrollment for Shalom Aleph and Shabbat Shalom class is 12 children with 2 teachers and one 'hishtatfoot' parent to assist. Shalom Aleph and Shabbat Shalom classes can be combined to make a 3 day preschool week.

Shalom Bet and Shalom Gimmel can be combined with Yeladim Daycare for part-day daycare (see daycare program). Maximum enrollment is 20 children with 2 teachers.

Our preschools are structured to promote the maximum growth and development of each unique child. Daily activities include: choice of play in various learning centres, snack, story time, outside/gym time and the joyous celebration of Jewish holidays. Bet and Gimmel Families must bring a fruit or vegetable each day to share for snack.

Be'Tzavta Shabbat (community Shabbat) is celebrated every Friday at 11am in the Ethel & Abraham Schachter Atrium.
