Celebrated Israeli author Meir Shalev is a best-selling writer of novels, children’s literature and non-fiction works. The host of CBC’s Writers & Company, Eleanor Wachtel is known for her clear voice, and thoughtful, thorough mode of questioning. Wachtel’s many accomplishments include receiving the Order of Canada in 2005, receiving seven honourary degrees, and being named winner of the Jack Award for the promotion of Canadian books and authors. Wachtel is also the editor of four acclaimed literary collections. She lives in Toronto.
