Jeanne Beker | Host: Vicki Gabereau

7:30pm | norman rothstein theatre

Expect bells, whistles, and fanfare during an evening that is sure to be unforgettable. Join Canadian media moguls Jeanne Beker and Vicki Gabereau in a thrilling discussion of what it takes to hack it in the spotlight.

Jeanne Beker is one of the most iconic and influential women in the fashion industry both here at home and around the world”—fashion television
Torontonian fashion guru Jeanne Beker is larger than life. A television personality, author and columnist, Beker hosts CTV’s Fashion Television, and is a featured columnist for The Globe and Mail. In 1979, Beker launched the groundbreaking TV series The NewMusic at Citytv. She also helped launch MuchMusic.
Beyond being a media mogul, Beker is an accomplished writer. Her books, Jeanne Unbottled: Adventures in High Style, The Big Night Out, and A Passion for Fashion: Careers in Style, together create an image at once accurate and spectacular.
A Canadian standard for quality,” Vicki Gabereau’s countless accomplishments on television and radio have propelled her into Canadian living-rooms and recordbooks.
Gabereau has also written an autobiography, This Won’t Hurt a Bit, and a cookbook collection of recipes sent in by her CBC radio listeners over the years. She currently resides in West Vancouver.
